Packaging distributor Rajapack UK has changed its name to RAJA UK, adopting the brand used by its parent company across Europe. The Bedfordshire-based supplier said the change aligns its UK operation with the RAJA Group’s brand in the 19 European countries the group serves.
RAJA UK has supplied UK businesses since 1998 and says it serves more than 43,000 UK companies. The RAJA Group was founded in France in 1954 by Rachel Marcovici and Janine Rocher, whose first names were combined to create the company name.
Continuity stressed alongside new name
Tom Rodda, managing director of RAJA UK, said the operating essentials for customers remain unchanged despite the rebrand. According to Rodda, customers will continue to work with the same people and have access to the same product range and next-day service.
He added that with peak trading only weeks away, the company has sought to make planning easier through a free tool that estimates the cost of the busiest weeks. The name change comes alongside RAJA UK’s Prepare for Peak tool, which is designed to help businesses estimate what peak will cost their packing operation and what they could save ahead of Black Friday on 27 November.
How the tool works
Users select their industry to see typical order increases at peak, based on benchmarks that combine Office for National Statistics retail data with RAJA order data from 2023 to 2025. They then enter their own operating figures, such as parcels handled per day and the number of people packing.
The output is an illustrative estimate rather than a quotation, RAJA UK said. The company presents the tool as a way for businesses to put a number on what the busiest weeks may cost and to compare that with potential savings before peak trading begins. Because users input parcels per day and packing headcount, the estimate is tailored to their stated operating assumptions rather than a generic quote.
Brand alignment across Europe
The UK operation had traded as Rajapack UK before the change. The rebrand brings the local business under the same RAJA name used by the wider group. RAJA UK said the group serves 19 European countries, and the company presents the common name as a way to give customers a single, recognizable brand across those markets.
For existing UK customers, the company’s message centers on continuity: the name has changed, but the staff, range and next-day service have not. The rebrand combines a group-wide identity change with a practical push on peak-season planning.
