Landscape Forms has relaunched SHUFFLE, a modular smart pole system that consolidates Wi-Fi, cameras, sensors, two-way communications and EV-charging capabilities into a single vertical pole. According to the company, the system is designed to be easy to activate and install, with modular components that allow for customization and future adaptability.
The relaunch addresses a familiar tension in public-space design. As municipalities, campuses and commercial developers add single-purpose pole-mounted sensors, cameras, lighting and connectivity equipment, the amount of hardware on a site grows while the space available for it does not. Landscape Forms positions SHUFFLE as a response to that pressure: one integrated column intended to expand site functionality without adding visual clutter or additional cost.
Configuration has also been simplified. A new build feature on the Landscape Forms website lets clients specify their preferred camera and technology brands and choose among the options offered within each. The company says the integrated design brings modern aesthetics and efficiencies to busy, multi-use environments.
Shannon Lee, Business Development Manager for Smart Poles at Schréder, described the product as the solution site designers have been waiting for, adding that it was designed to fit busy public spaces with best-in-class product and feature sets that can be updated as site needs evolve. Safety and connectivity, Lee said, are integrated into outdoor spaces without dominating them, which keeps the system accessible and user friendly.
The modular architecture is central to that pitch: rather than specifying one fixed assembly, buyers can combine the modules a site requires and, according to Landscape Forms, add or swap capabilities later as requirements change.
New plug-and-play feature options
The latest feature updates are built around plug-and-play simplicity. Options now include:
- A 360-degree area light and a 180-degree area light
- A decorative light ring
- Quad-view and 180-degree cameras
- Motion sensors
- Loudspeaker and intercom modules
Because the components are modular, the same pole platform can be configured for specialized environments as well as general public use. Landscape Forms lists university and business campuses, airports and commuting hubs, shopping malls and tourist areas, concert halls, city parks, sports venues and hospitals among the settings it is intended for, describing the combination of adaptability and communication features as a fit for site managers balancing a range of requirements at once.
Jordan Agustin, President of Lighting at Landscape Forms, framed the relaunch as an example of technology and design working together to make outdoor spaces safer and smarter without compromising aesthetics. He said the newly integrated features enhance both the beauty and functionality of outdoor space, while advancing the company's stated mission of connecting people to the outdoors and to each other.
The announcement did not include pricing, availability dates or the specific brands supported through the new configuration tool. Statements about improved safety, efficiency and site performance remain the company's own characterization of the product rather than independently verified outcomes.
